FUND RAISING EVENTS
In July we will be entertaining some 40 of our Breton friends for 3 or 4 nights and this results in a cost to the Association. Further details of the visit in due course when we receive the finalised dates and numbers. We therefore need to organise some fund raising events to replenish our coffers before they arrive!! The following are our spring fund raising events:
The Executive Committee met 8 times during the year to arrange our activities with the various aspects of the work being delegated to individual members.
QUIZ
The Committee recently accepted the kind offer of Association members Donna and Richard Thompson to arrange a quiz with a difference at their home at Llanerchgron Barn, Pwllglas. This will be held on Friday, 26 March 2010 and will cost £5 (please bring this with you in 50 pence coins!!) to include nibbles and a glass of wine. More wine will be available for sale at the event! This is the first time for the Association to hold a quiz and the support of members and their friends would be very much appreciated. WHIST DRIVE
Yet another first for the Association, the whist drive will be held at Cae Cymro, Clawddnewydd on Thursday, 13 May 2010 commencing at 7.30pm. The Association currently has 80 members giving a subscription income of £400. If you know of anyone who would like to become members please let Menna Jones know on 01824 704350.
100 CLUB
On Saturday, 22 May 2010, between the hours of 2.00pm and 4.00pm we will be holding a tea in the garden at Nantclwyd y Dre, Rhuthun..
TEA IN THE GARDEN
The 100 Clwb raises money for the Association each year and if we had more members then more would be raised, as well as larger prizes at the monthly draws. If you are not yet a member please contact Murray on 01824 704206 or e-mail him at m.bragg@talktalk.net and ask for a membership form.
